Pensez Frais - Fresh 4 Less Alnwick

Great News! Starting the month of June, we will be distributing the Fresh for Less bags at the Tabusintac Legion.

Fresh For Less is a community program that uses bulk purchasing to provide bags full of vegetables and fruit every month at an affordable price. Everyone has access to the program. Our goal with Fresh for Less is to make vegetables and fruit more accessible and healthier for our community members.

Items in the bag every month include potatoes, carrots, onions, apples, oranges, and bananas. Additional foods vary depending on season and availability. Bags are $20 with an estimated retail value of $40 or more. Last month, 115 families participated in the program.

Bags must be paid for or reserved on the first Tuesday of the month (June 6th) and the distribution is on the second Tuesday of the month (June 13th). The hours of distribution are from 4h30 to 6pm. Other satellite distribution points are at René Chouinard School in Lagaceville from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the Neguac Tourist Center from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
